Operation Sindoor: Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air Cancel Flights to Key Airports Till May 10 – Full List of Affected Routes

Amid heightened military activity under Operation Sindoor, several airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, and Akasa Air, have cancelled flights to and from multiple high-risk airports following airstrikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The decision comes after aviation authorities issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) restricting operations in select airspaces.

✈️ Air India Cancels Flights to 9 Airports Till May 10

Air India announced the suspension of all flight operations to and from the following nine airports until 05:29 AM IST on May 10, 2025:

“Air India flights to and from the above stations are being cancelled following a directive from aviation authorities regarding airport closures,” the airline stated in an official post on X (formerly Twitter).

🛑 IndiGo and Akasa Air Also Suspend Services

In line with Air India, IndiGo has also cancelled flights to several conflict-zone airports. Additionally, Akasa Air has announced flight suspensions specifically for Srinagar Airport, which has been closed for civil operations.

“Due to the prevailing situation in the region, Srinagar Airport has been shut down for civil use. As a result, all Akasa Air flights to and from Srinagar stand cancelled,” the airline confirmed via its official X handle.

These cancellations follow India’s recent military strikes targeting terror infrastructure in PoK and Pakistan, prompting security protocols and airspace restrictions over sensitive zones.
